Architects and designers can now download our heritage timber casement and heritage sash windows made specifically to match traditional historic windows as BIM objects and NBS Plus specifications. They can also download our period timber French and single doors that are perfect for heritage and conservation projects.

Also available are timber sash windows (advanced weight and pulley system, or spring balance mechanism).

NBS Plus is a growing library of manufacturers’ products available in downloadable BIM (Building Information Modelling) formats.

Architects and designers can find products and drag and drop them into place before orienting each product within the modelled building design.

Each TRC product is presented as a downloadable BIM object, with embedded technical product information. All BIM objects are defined according to the NBS BIM Object Standard. This ensures that information, geometry, behaviour and presentation of each product is consistent for accurate modelling.

It’s easier than ever for architects and designers to choose the best products for their projects with TRC BIM objects.

Technical data for each BIM object is comprehensive. Alongside dimensions and colours, objects also include details such as BFRC energy rating, glazing or infill thickness options, transom and mullion size options, various weather performance ratings, and much more. In fact, detailed properties from the BIM Object Standard, IFC and COBie property sets are included for each product.

We ensure that technical data for each object is kept up to date by embedding the NBS-formatted technical product information into our website. The ready availability of this technical information helps architects and designers select the best products for any project.

As well as using NBS Create software to model construction projects, the NBS Plug-in v3.6 for Autodesk Revit enables you to drag and drop BIM objects directly into your Revit project (BIM objects can be downloaded in IFC and Revit formats).

And the NBS BIM Toolkit enables project leaders to assemble a team with clearly assigned roles and responsibilities to work collaboratively across projects. Models and drawings can be made available via smartphones and tablets. And with widely available 4G access, plus comprehensive cloud storage, construction engineers can refer to specifications on-site and online.
